Updated Oct 2026 · how we rate brokers
Why there is no advice here
We will not tell you what to buy, when to buy it, how much to risk or which broker to open an account with. That is advice, it is regulated in Nigeria, and we are not licensed to give it. Mail asking for it gets a polite no.
What we will do is either explain how something on this site was worked out, point at the public source behind a claim, or else fix a page that reads as though it were advice.
Where the line runs
- General information about how licensing and trading work
- That is what this site publishes
- A recommendation of a broker, a pair or a position size
- Not here, and not by mail
- Anything adjusted to your income, debts or tolerance for loss
- We do not know them and never ask
- Advice as the SEC Nigeria defines it
- A regulated activity; we are not licensed for it
If you want advice, take it from someone the SEC Nigeria authorises to give it.
For companies
Advertising, link placement and content partnerships: the answer is no, and the same address takes it. This site maintains one commercial relationship and discloses it on every page that uses it; it does not sell placement in anything that looks editorial.
Press and researchers are welcome. Tell us what you are working on and what you need.
| Step | What happens | When |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · You write | The page address and what the correct value is | Any time |
| 2 · We check it | Against the public source you name, not against our own page | Same week |
| 3 · The page changes | The figure is replaced and the page says it was corrected | With the date on it |
A number is never quietly edited to leave the page looking as though it always said that.
Write to us
The address is contact@nairadeskng.com. We read every message and reply to most mail within two working days. Writing to us costs nothing and creates no account: we have no login, no newsletter and no customer records.
If the message refers to a specific page, please state the page address in the subject line. The quickest way of ensuring the right person reads it is this.
What this address can and cannot do
- Correct a wrong figure, date or licence number
- Yes — send the source you checked
- Explain how a number on a page was worked out
- Yes
- See, move or recover money in a trading account
- No — this is not a broker
- Release a withdrawal or settle a dispute with a firm
- No — the broker's own support first, then the SEC Nigeria
- Say what to buy, when, or which broker to use
- No — that is regulated advice
- Sell a link, a review or a placement
- No
Where a firm is not on the SEC Nigeria register, the regulator has no power to help either — which is the reason this site exists.
Corrections
A correction is the most useful mail we get. If a figure, a licence number or a date on this site is wrong, tell us what it should be and where you checked it - the SEC Nigeria register, the broker's own terms, a regulator's notice.
We amend the page and state on it that a correction was made, together with the date. We never alter a figure without making the change visible on the page.
| Mechanism | Used here | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| Cookies | No | Nothing is set, first or third party |
| Local and session storage | No | Nothing is written to your browser |
| Analytics of ours | No | No script, no pixel, no tag manager |
| Accounts or logins | No | There is no database with your name in it |
| Newsletter or forms | No | Nothing to subscribe to |
| Fingerprinting | No | No device or canvas identification |
Check it yourself: developer tools, the storage tab and the network tab, on any page here.
Things to ask someone else
We are not a broker and we are not the Securities and Exchange Commission of Nigeria. We cannot see your trading account, move your money, reset a password, release a withdrawal or intervene in a dispute. No person writing to this address is able to access any of that.
If your money is with a firm, your broker's own support is the first step and the SEC Nigeria is the second. If a firm is not on the SEC Nigeria register, the regulator has no power to help you either, which is the whole reason this site exists.
| Party | What it sees | Why it is there |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare Pages | The request, your IP and browser string, in its own logs | It serves the files |
| api.gold-api.com | The request your browser makes for a price | A live quote on the page |
| api.binance.com | The request your browser makes for a price | A live quote on the page |
| api.twelvedata.com | The request your browser makes for a price | A live quote on the page |
| api.coinbase.com | The request your browser makes for a price | A live quote on the page |
| The broker, after you follow a partner link | Whatever its own site collects, under its own policy | You left this site |
None of it passes through us, and we build no profile from any of it.
